The Perfect Find in Rome - "The Perfect Bun"!

Having recently visited Rome during our honeymoon, we came across a favourite haunt our ours called The Perfect Bun.
Gianluca and Marco certainly know how to make you feel at home here..... their customer service which I believe, can not be found anywhere in Rome.
And as for the decor, it's definitely" off the wall"...... and I love it!!
Firstly, you will notice that it's not called "The Perfect Bun" from the outside!! The bar used to be called "CO2", and the remains of the sign is still above the door. So to find it, look out for the CO2 sign, which is on Largo del Teatro Valle.
This massive brick building gives way to a huge open space inside, with the bar to the left. Very sleep and contemporary, with a polished concrete top and the chilled martini glasses overhead...ready to go!! In the centre of the room is a long wooden table with bar stools, seating 15 people comfortably. And if you're happy to share this table, make sure you check out the arrangement of toy figures carefully placed underneath the glass top to the centre!!
Now it's hard to say why there is a big Arrivals Timetable on the wall to the right of the entrance, but there is!! I asked Marco about it and he say it came from Milan Airport for a bargain at 10k!!

And the fun doesn't stop there!! There seems to be hundreds of different types of "faces", made from different parts of equipment and machinery displayed on all the walls. And of course, not forgetting the toilets, which are home to disco balls and Abba tunes!!
There is also an upper section with a glass floor (no skirts ladies if you want to sit upstairs) with booths and tables.

Even though the place is large, it fills up fast, and we could see why!! The staff do an amazing job serving, and all in a fast, efficient and smiley way!
The menu is what any ex pat American could desire; burgers, Cesar salads, buffalo wings, fajitas and desserts the range from carrot cake to brownies. Sunday they do American style brunch where you can make your own omelet with different vegtables and meats. The restaurant manager, Marco told me that they everything they serve is fresh from their desserts to the buns on the burgers. The burger I had proves this fact....I appreciate good food, and this certainly was that!

So, hit your cravings at the Perfect Bun, and enjoy the fun of the interiors. The cocktails aren't bad either. While there we shared "The Italian Flag", skillfully created by Gianluca.... so leave room!!
Cocktails and burgers anyone??? Well, when in Rome!!??

  1. Hello,

I appear: Cyril. I work for Seriousguide, a collection of travel guides in French.
The principle: Seriousguide leans on travel stories published on our platform www.seriousguide.fr as first information source for the selection of the contents of the printed travel guides.
We prepare at present a guide on Rome. Our participative platform has just been opened to the public and the journeys, which are published by the Internet users there, represent an essential source for our papers guides. However, we also spot the interesting contents resulting from the other blogs. And so we preset Perfect Bun about whom you spoke enthusiastically in your blog and so we sent one of our spot correspondents to test him!
If we decide to keep this activity for our guide Rome, we would like we could quote you as being our information source.
I am anxious to specify you that on no account we are not going to resume (to take back) your narrative, we wish we can only quote you as one in our sources.
You can give me your agreement by e-mail to the following address: cyril.anne@seriousguide.fr
    Kind regards,
    Cyril for Seriousguide
